River City Baking is a small custom bakery located in the beautiful Salmon River valley owned and operated by Sarah and Dan Hurzeler. As the baker, Sarah graduated with a Culinary Arts Degree from Portland Oregon's Western Culinary Institute. Sarah found a niche in pastries, and a love of creating beautiful pastries and cakes was born.
River City Baking strives to create one-of-a-kind cake designs with your ideas in mind. We make 'from scratch' cakes using the freshest ingredients we can get our hands on and try to locally source as much as possible. We are located in the small town of Salmon. We serve the Baker, Salmon, Challis, Leadore and Gibbonsville areas.
When not working away, we love to enjoy this beautiful area we live in. Salmon, Idaho is the birthplace of Sacajawea, the young Shoshone woman who traveled with Lewis and Clark to the Pacific. Lewis and Clark trekked across the beautiful, intense Salmon area and first reached the continental divide at Lemhi Pass. Not only the history, but Salmon also offers some unique fishing opportunities, horseback riding, hiking, biking, and the list goes on. So, any chance we get to enjoy a day of steelhead fishing, horseback riding or hiking, we take the opportunity!
